Seiko 5 Sports Field Series Watches
When Seiko launched the 5 in 1963, the name referred five key elements the watch would include; an automatic movement, day/date display, water resistance, recessed crown, and a durable case. The goal was to put a reliable automatic watch on the wrist of anyone who valued quality timepieces regardless of their price point, and for six decades it has. The new Seiko Field Series line extends that logic into field-watch territory with four models in two configurations: a nylon-and-leather strap for outdoor use and a solid metal bracelet for slightly more formal occasions, each in two colorways. All four share a 41mm stainless steel case, the 4R36 automatic movement with 41 hours of power reserve, a rotating compass bezel, LumiBrite on hands and indices, a see-through caseback, and all five elements core to the original Seiko 5 ethos.
