SenseRobot Chess Mini Robot

Chess apps can beat grandmasters, but they can't reach across the board and move a piece. When The Queen's Gambit sent millions to online chess platforms in 2020 at the height of COVID, the game went fully digital, fast and frictionless but without the weight of a real piece in your hand. SenseRobot Chess Mini puts a physical opponent back across the table, using a dual robotic arm with a claw grip to move pieces on a real board in real time. A camera system reads positions at 99.9% accuracy, and 19 difficulty levels based on the Elo rating system top out at an AI that beat professional competitors in Toulouse in 2024. The built-in LLM works as a live coach, explaining the logic behind each move as you play rather than just flagging blunders after the fact. Load any of 100 historical games, watch it play out move by move on the physical board, and take over at any point to play against the AI from that position, a mode that works with third-party and custom 3D-printed pieces as well as the included set. The whole setup is roughly the size of a 13-inch laptop and syncs with major online chess platforms, no phone or screen required.
