Shinola Runwell MD-80 Desk Clock

The MD-80 airplane, also known as the Mad Dog, was a commercial airline legend. To honor the workhorse jet, Shinola is releasing a desk clock made using the same polished aluminum that helped set the MD-80 apart. Each clock dial is hand-cut and repolished by Moto Art in California using the original aluminum before it is assembled by hand in Detroit. It features raised Arabic indices and luminous hands and rests in a black oak stand that is customized with a reclaimed MD-80 aluminum plaque. Since the dial is collected from repurposed MD-80 aluminum, each one is unique and shows some signs of wear and tear from years of airborne service.
