Electric scooters are rapidly taking over urban landscapes. Companies like Lime, Scoot, and Skip expanding into more cities and the simple, efficient scooter has never been more popular — or more milquetoast. Startup Stator is out to change that with their self-balancing electric scooter that has great specs and style. Powered by a rear-wheel hub-mounted brushless DC motor, the Stator has a range of 20 miles, top speed of 25 MPH, self-balances, and charges in 1.2 hours with the optional fast-charging system. The minimalist tube frame folds flat for storage or transport, and the single wrap-over handlebar has a twist-grip throttle, multifunction horn button, key lock, and battery indicator. Stator is will be launching a Kickstarter campaign in the near future for your chance to get in on the ground floor.
