Stilride's SUS1 electric moped prototype is entering production as the Stilride 1. The Stockholm-based startup's origami-like design is nearly unchanged from the SUS1, made from stainless steel in a manufacturing process that uses folds rather than welding resulting in few parts and less waste. The solo saddle seat has its own suspension system, along with a USD fork and rear monoshock. The 286 lbs. moped is powered by an 8kW hub motor for a top speed just over 60 MPH and a range of 120 miles. Continental disc brakes front and rear provide the stopping power, with a digital display and the STILCONTROL mobile app giving system information, location, and security functions. Deliveries of the Stilride 1 will begin in SPring 2024.
