TAG Heuer Formula 1 Solargraph Watch
When Techniques d'Avant Garde acquired Heuer in 1985, it put the new logo on the McLaren that carried Alain Prost to the 1986 World Championship. The Formula 1 watch followed that same year: color-forward, lightweight composite case, built to reach a new audience. Forty years on, TAG Heuer revisits that playbook with the Formula 1 Solargraph in five limited pastel colorways, and the pastel blue is the pick of the five. Its 38mm TH Polylight bio-polyamide case, bezel, and rubber strap run a full monochromatic blue from case to clasp, with a dark blue accent on the opaline dial, a Mercedes-style hour hand, shield indices at 6, 9, and 12, and a bidirectional rotating bezel. The engine is TAG Heuer's Solargraph calibre: one minute of direct sunlight powers it for a full day, a complete charge takes around 40 hours of light exposure and delivers up to ten months of reserve in darkness, and the accumulator is rated for 15 years. Water-resistant to 330 feet with a screw-down crown and caseback, production is capped at 3,000 pieces.
