Snowmobiles are fun, efficient machines, but they are really bad for the environment. Montreal-based startup Taiga is in the process of developing a fleet of electric-powered snowmobiles to disrupt the current market. Each zero-emission snowmobile offers instant torque and power regardless of the elevation or temperature. They also are free from throttle lag and a linear response for delicate control during technical maneuvers. And while the biggest challenge with all electric vehicles is the battery, Taiga has managed to pack a 27 kWh battery pack in each snowmobile that can charge up to 80% in 20 minutes and weighs under 600lbs.
