Telo Truck
The greatest asset of electric vehicles is the flexibility in design. Freed from bulky internal-combustion engines, an EV can be packaged in ways that maximize interior and cargo room — but most EVs today are simply powertrain-swapped gasoline vehicles. Telo aims to change that with its kei-sized truck that measures nearly the same length as a Mini Cooper — about 152 inches. The Telo has two axle motors making a combined 500 horsepower, with a 106kWh battery giving the truck 350 miles of range. Swiss designer Yves Behar helped design the vehicle, giving it a modular design that can be converted to a third-row configuration for more passenger room. A full-size prototype has been built, with testing starting later this year and production planned within three years.
