Tetra Aviation Mk-5 eVTOL Aircraft

Tetra Aviation's new Mk-5 eVTOL Aircraft could be a reality as soon as 2022. The lightweight electric aircraft is designed for single-person use and is crafted from a combination of aluminum and carbon-fiber-reinforced polymers, with the prototype measuring 28 feet wide, 20 feet long, and 1,000 pounds, A total of 32 horizontal rotors across four wings lift the plane, while a vertical prop in the rear propels it forward. It boasts a top speed of 100 mph, and a 13.5 kWh battery promises up to 100 miles on a single charge. Inside the cockpit, a joystick with fly-by-wire electrical controls ensures easy piloting for both amateurs and professionals.
