The ACH145 Mercedes-Benz Edition Helicopter
Sixteen years after pioneering the idea of bringing automotive design into the cockpit, Airbus Corporate Helicopters and Mercedes-Benz have delivered their most refined collaboration yet. The ACH145 Mercedes-Benz Edition is built on the latest five-bladed H145 platform, adding 330 pounds of useful payload and quieter operation than its predecessor, with a max cruise speed of 137 knots and roughly four hours of endurance. Inside, Mercedes-Benz's Sensual Purity design philosophy shapes a wraparound cabin drawing from their luxury show cars and emphasizing finishes of rich wood, metallic accents, leather, and sculpted seats with coordinated stitching. Buyers can configure the aircraft in four to eight-seat layouts across six signature design themes. ACH and Mercedes-Benz chose to debut it in São Paulo, the city with the world's largest private helicopter fleet and the only urban airspace with a dedicated rotorcraft air traffic control system, a reminder of exactly who this aircraft is built for.
