Theon Design Porsche 911 Restomod
Theon Design is rapidly gaining a reputation as one of the top builders in the 911 restomod space, specializing in the 964-generation 911 made from 1989 to 1994. The ITA001 is the result of nearly 18 months of work, producing a car that far exceeds what the 964 was capable of while draping it in classic 911 styling cues from the '70s. Cloaked in carbon fiber bodywork, the ITA001 rides on 18-inch Fuchs wheels, with muscular rear flares helping cover the wider tires. Weighing in at 2,540 pounds, a new naturally-aspirated flat-six gives the ITA001 a power-to-weight ratio similar to that of a 993-generation 911 GT3, while a six-speed manual gearbox from handles shifting duties. The modifications continue with the interior, covered in tobacco brown hides, with the familiar five-gauge layout presented with heritage green faces and a six-speaker Bluetooth stereo — no in-dash unit to spoil the layout.
