Tom Sachs' Too Darn Hot
Last year, Tom Sachs launched an NFT project called the Rocket Factory, wherein people could purchase NFTs of rocket components and use those to build a rocket. If the nose cone, body, and tail assembly matched, they created a new Perfect Rocket NFT. If not, they created a "Frankenrocket", one of which was acquired by the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. As a way to give back to LACMA, Sachs has partnered with Avant Arte to create Too Darn Hot. This limited-edition screenprint depicts LACMA's Frankenrocket, with a Cup Noodles-branded tail, a Chanel body, and Trojan nose-cone. Each print will be accompanied by an NFT, validated by various authentication methods, and will be available for 24 hours only on November 2nd, with 25% of proceeds going to LACMA.
