Touring Superleggera Sciàdipersia Coupe
Maserati's Grantourismo is a fine Italian 2+2 grand tourer but hasn't had a styling update in a decade. Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera fixes that problem with the Sciàdipersia, using the Grantourismo underpinnings with all-new bodywork, meaning the 454 horsepower, 4.7-liter V-8 engine from the GranTurismo remains intact. The design of the Sciàdipersia pays homage to the 1958 Maserati 5000GT, made in limited quantities at the request of the Shah of Iran, with a bold front end and a unique rear with a wraparound rear windshield. An upgraded interior is included, and possibly best of all, the Sciàdipersia weighs in at over 400 pounds less than the Grantourismo, making the most of the Ferrari-designed V8. Only 10 will be built with each unit being tailored to each customer.
