Tushek TS 900 Apex Coupe

There's a war going on — a horsepower war that we haven't seen the likes of since the American muscle cars of the '60s. Where figures in the 500 range were once considered borderline insane, the bar has raised to the point that 800 hardly raises an eyebrow. Slovenian manufacturer Tushek released their first car, the 450 horsepower Renovatio T500 in 2012. Their latest model is the TS 900 Apex, a hybrid hypercar making 950 horsepower and a staggering 1,032 lb-ft of torque. A twin-turbo V8 drives the rear wheels with an electric motor for each front wheel, all packed into the lightest hybrid hypercar on the market at 3,100 pounds. Tushek claims a 0-62 MPH sprint in 2.5 seconds and a top speed of 236 MPH — specs that while extremely fast, aren't unheard of in today's top-tier sports cars. The TS 900 Apex will make its public debut at the Salon Price Concours this fall.
