Vacheron Constantin Overseas 34.5mm Watch

Vacheron Constantin traces the Overseas back to 1977, when the 222 became one of three watches, alongside the Royal Oak and the Nautilus, that defined the slim, integrated-bracelet sports watch. The line now adds a 34.5mm case, sized for a broader range of wrists without cutting features from the 41mm flagship. In steel, the dial goes for a deep red lacquer with a velvet texture running along the outer minute track, set off by white gold hour markers that pick up a blue glow from Super-LumiNova. The rose gold version leans monochrome instead. A sunburst-finished lacquer dial in a matching tone, with pink gold markers and hands carrying the same blue lume. Both use Vacheron's tool-free quick-change strap system. The steel model swaps between a red rubber strap, a red alligator strap with tonal stitching, and a steel bracelet. The gold model swaps between white rubber, white alligator, and a pink gold bracelet. Both models share the same caliber 1088/1, an automatic movement Vacheron builds in-house from 144 parts, running a 40-hour reserve. The Overseas keeps the tonneau case and Maltese Cross bezel that have always defined the line, now sized for a different wrist.
