DC's FanDome offered the first look at James Gunn's The Suicide Squad. Although it isn't an official teaser, this sneak peek is filled with behind-the-scenes goodies from the sort-of reboot to the 2016 film. The film is intended to be a standalone sequel and even brings back several familiar faces including Margot Robbie, Joel Kinnaman, Viola Davis, and Jai Courtney. There are also loads of new members to the squad like Idris Elba's Bloodsport, John Cena's Peacemaker, and Pete Davidson as Blackguard. The Suicide Squad will premiere in theaters on August 21, 2021.
During DC's FanDome, Matt Reeves released the first teaser for the upcoming reboot. The clip reveals the director's gritty take on the franchise that will feature the origins of Gotham's finest as well as Robert Pattinson's transformation into The Dark Knight. Also starring Zoë Kravitz, Jeffrey Wright, Colin Farrell, Peter Sarsgaard, Andy Serkis, Paul Dano, and John Turturro., the film is slated for release on October 1, 2021.
