They had to dig deep, but managed to come up with Han Solo's excellent use of finger pointing, Luke Skywalker's transition from whiny to just dumb, and the creepy Princess Leia-Han-Luke love triangle. And while The Empire Strikes Back might be the sequel that started Hollywood on the path to endless sequels, it's one of the best sequels in film.
