If Spielberg's A.I. Artificial Intelligence looks like a Kubrick knockoff, it's actually because the latter passed off his final project to the Jaws director before his death in 1999. The film is so influenced by the style of Stanley Kubrick, it almost plays out as an ode the late directing giant.
