Rose Reading Room Time-Lapse

After two years of renovations and restoration, the historic Rose Reading Room at the New York Public Library is open again. First built in 1911, the room was closed after a piece of plaster decoration fell from the 52-foot tall ceiling. With the completion of construction, over 52,000 books had to be re-shelved, the entire process of which is shown here in just two minutes.
