Warner Bros. is rebooting the Mortal Kombat franchise, and to every '90s kid's delight, they've spared nothing when it comes to violence. Based on the iconic video game, the film follows a young MMA fighter with a strange dragon marking who is recruited to defend Earth in an intergalactic battle. Sonya Blade, Kano, Jackson "Jax" Briggs, and Liu Kang are featured in the trailer, along with fan favorites Sub-Zero and Scorpion. The film will be released in theaters on HBO Max on April 16, 2021.
