The 80s References of Stranger Things

Stranger Things feels more 80s than some of the film and TV that came out of the 80s — and that's the point. Show creators the Duff brothers created a mashup of 80s shows in a mock trailer to pitch the film, and have described it as a combination of the works of Steven Spielberg, John Carpenter, and Stephen King.
