The House with a Clock in Its Walls
Sent to live with his rather eccentric uncle Jonathan Barnavelt, who turns out to be a rather poor warlock, puts Lewis in a strange house with a sinister ticking in its walls. The previous owners were practitioners of the dark arts, and the ticking is a hidden clock, made to bring the universe into alignment so that the creators can destroy it. Based on the 1973 novel by John Bellairs and illustrated by Edward Gorey, The House with a Clock in Its Walls stars Kyle MacLachlan, Cate Blanchette, and Jack Black. The film comes to theaters September 2018.
