In the digital world of high-frequency trading, fortunes are made and lost in milliseconds. Two cousins from New York have an idea: Build a fiberoptic cable from New Jersey to Kansas, giving them a one millisecond edge on everyone else, with the potential to make them hundreds of millions in the blink of an eye. Getting fiber optic line built isn't easy, and between their old boss Eva Torres and the quixotic adventure to get it done, everyone involved will be pushed to their limit. The Hummingbird Project is directed by Kim Nguyen and stars Jesse Eisenberg, Salma Hayek, and Alexander Skarsgard. The film comes to theaters on March 15, 2019.
