Like Broncos and Scouts before them, vintage Jeep Cherokees are seeing their popularity soar in the restomod world. Vigilante 4x4 knew this and was founded to update these classic off-roaders. This particular 1977 Jeep Cherokee S is a perfect example. Stripped down to the bare metal, the body was restored and given a two-tone blue and white paint job, complete with side tribal stripes. It sits on a new, fully-boxed Vigilante chassis, with 17-inch custom wheels, and is powered by a 6.4L 392 HEMI crate engine. It's paired with a 4-speed Bowler automatic, hooked to an Atlas-II transfer case and Dana 44/60 enterprise axles. A 4-link Eibach coil suspension with Fox racing shocks keeps it linked to the road, while 6-piston brakes provide stopping power and a Moore & Giles leather interior keeps the interior comfortable and period-correct.
