After redefining river and ocean cruising, Viking sets its sights on expeditions. The Octantis is a 665-foot purpose-built expedition ship designed with fin stabilizers and ice-strengthened Polar Class hulls for navigating the Antarctic. Its interior features the brand's signature Scandinavian design and includes 189 staterooms for up to 378 guests. Ranging from 215 to 1,223-square-foot suites, each room includes ocean views, balconies, and plush king-size beds. The vessel also houses a spa, a pool below a retractable glass dome, a lounge, and a variety of dining options, along with an onboard science lab for research, equipment for expeditions, and the Aula. Inspired by the University of Oslo's ceremonial hall, the panoramic auditorium at the stern of the ship is a venue for lectures and entertainment.
