Viritech Apricale Coupe
With the electric revolution just getting started, a dark horse could be waiting in the wings with better energy density and less weight — hydrogen. Viritech's Apricale is a very limited-production hydrogen-powered supercar that aims to solve some of the biggest problems associated with the power source — size and weight. The Apricale uses graphene hydrogen cells that are both lightweight and serve as a structural component of the chassis. Viritech is aiming for a top speed of 200 MPH and acceleration in the three-second range, meaning it will need a horsepower figure in the low thousands. Viritech sees the Apricale as a proof-of-concept, with plans for a hydrogen-powered truck and SUV in the works.
