Visit Iceland Sweatpant Boots

For most, lockdowns are now a thing of the past. And to symbolically say goodbye to those long days at home, Iceland is drawing tourists back to its scenic volcanoes, geysers, hot springs, and lava fields by offering to turn their sweatpants into hiking boots. Through July, Visit Iceland is partnering with a British shoe manufacturer to create the boots, which are made up of water-resistant uppers, trail tread soles, and cuffs from your lockdown sweatpants to keep your ankles warm while you navigate the Nordic island nation.
