Volkswagen Atlas Tanoak Truck Concept

Trucks sell in the US, and Volkswagen looks like they're ready to put a foot in the market with the Atlas Tanoak concept truck. This thinly-veiled concept is based on the MQB platform which undergirds VW's Atlas SUV, conveniently made in Chatanooga, Tennessee. The four-door short bed pickup has a few interesting features, like a hoop that can slide the length of the bed for rooftop storage and passthrough from the bed into the cab for items longer than the bed. Powered by a 276-horsepower V6 and all-wheel-drive, expect to see this concept in dealerships before too long.
