Walt Disney In-Studio Gag Drawing
Animation writer Tony Benedict is best known for his work at Hanna-Barbera Studios, including The Flintstones. But he got his start at Walt Disney Studios working on Sleeping Beauty, and it was during this period he created this drawing. Showing Walt in the studio, hands folded and head down beneath the caption "Well I only do 90% of the drawings!!", the drawing is clearly meant as a gag, and is rendered in graphite on 16 field animation paper. Signed and dated 1956 by the artist, it's an amusing piece of
animation history and arrives in a custom wooden frame.
