Whistlepig Beholden 21 Year Single Malt Whiskey
Highly aged single malt whiskies are predominantly the domain of the Scots. Whistlepig is out to change that with The Béhôlden. Billed as the first-ever super-aged North American Single Malt, it was aged for 21 years in American Oak ex-bourbon barrels, imparting maple and dried fruit notes to a bready, nutty base. It then spent four weeks in ex-WhistlePig Rye barrels to add more spice and smoke to the mix. Only 18 barrels of the Spring 2023 offering are being bottled, at 92 proof, and are sure to sell out quickly.
