Method and Madness Rye & Malt Irish Whiskey
Midleton Distillery outside of Cork, Ireland, is best known for producing Jameson. They also experiment from time to time, which has resulted in the appropriately-named Method and Madness line. One of their recent bottlings is a whiskey with 60% Rye and 40% Malted Barley mashbill, double-distilled, and aged in former bourbon casks. The resulting spirit offers up flavors of lemon, white pepper, chili flakes, toasted wood, and spiced fruit, making this limited 46% ABV release worth seeking out.
