The World's Most Expensive Mini Bottle of Whisky
Colloquially referred to as "airplane bottles", 50ml bottles are better known for on-the-go drink making and shot taking than for serious collecting. That didn't stop this bottle of Springbank 50-Year-Old Campbeltown Single Malt Scotch Whisky from setting a new record for the most expensive 50ml bottle ever sold. Pulling in nearly $200 an ml, it was sold by Whiskey.Auction last month, breaking the prior record of roughly $7,700 set in August 2021. The bottle, distilled in December 1919, was labeled No. 2 and arrived with a certificate of authenticity.
