Zagato 356 Carrera Speedster & Coupe

Zagato has created many iconic car designs in its near-century of existence. Yet two of the best have stayed relatively unknown. The Zagato 356 Carrera Speedster & Coupe are revivals of two master modifications of Porsche's Beetle-based sports car. The Speedster was originally ordered by Ferdinand Porsche for racing driver Claude Storez. Built in 1957 as a one-off, it was destroyed in a 1959 crash. This recreation is based on photometric measurements of the few remaining images of the car. Arguably even more impressive is the coupe, with its clean lines taken from a 1959 drawing found in Zagato's archives. Built upon original 356 chassis, each is limited to just nine examples, all of which are already sold.
