BEDEO Electric Land Rover Defender

EV conversion company BEDEO's just-announced Reborn Electric: Icons program wants to overhaul Land Rover Defenders with electric drivetrains, with a new wrinkle — hub-mounted motors. Hub-mounted motors offer a noticeable reduction in weight, moving the components from sprung to unsprung mass. Power for the hub motor comes from a 75kWh battery, good for up to 153 miles of range. The standard onboard charger is 22kW, with an optional 50kW charger that recharges the battery to full in 90 minutes. The Defender's classic looks are preserved, and BEDEO offers a range of options to suit the needs of the client.
