First Video Footage of Giant Squid
After around 100 missions and 400 hours, The Discovery Channel and Japanese TV channel NHK have captured the very first footage of the giant squid in its natural habitat. The three-man crew found the Architeuthis just east of Chichi Island in the north Pacific Ocean about 2,066 feet underwater. The Discovery Channel will feature the footage in the final episode of Curiosity.
