Operation Avalanche, a film shot as a period documentary, follows two CIA agents given the job of faking the landing who meet with Kubrick on the set of 2001 for help with the project. Director Matt Johnson shows how his team was able to use still photographs and footage of Kubrick to bring the director back to life in the film.
