1957 Ferrari 250 GT TdF Zagato

For the first time in nearly 25 years, one of the most desirable Ferraris ever made is coming up for auction via Sotheby's Sealed. This Zagato-bodied 1957 250 GT LWB Berlinetta 'Tour de France' is one of five built by the legendary Italian coachbuilder and finished 6th overall and 2nd in class at the 1957 Mille Miglia. Chassis no. 0665 GT was the third car completed by Zagato and the last one to receive the distinctive double-bubble roof and the only double-bubble car to have covered headlights. The car also retains its original engine, transmission, and transaxle. Over more than a dozen in-period races, chassis no. 0665 GT captured ten podiums and five class wins, and could easily fill a trophy cabinet with its post-racing show career. The auction takes place August 16-19 in Monterey, California.
