1978 Porsche 924 Safari

911 safari conversions are all the rage, but this Porsche is something wholly different — a safari build based on a 1978 924. The 924 was Porsche's entry-level offering, and soon found a niche for its superb handling and performance. That made it a candidate for the racetrack, and 924s were popular as club and rally racers. This 924 safari build wears a variation on the classic Martini Racing livery with a silver base, rally-style exterior lighting, and a roof rack with spare tire. The car has had its original 2-liter inline-four rebuilt along with the five-speed transaxle. Inside are Auto Style bucket seats with red D1 harnesses, a hydraulic handbrake, and OMP footwell plates. The just-completed build hasn't yet been driven, making this the perfect opportunity to get in without doing all the work.
