1981 DeLorean DMC-12 BTTF Conversion

This isn't the car that single-handedly changed DeLorean DMC-12 from a laughing stock to into an '80s icon — but it's as close as you can get. This painstakingly-detailed DMC-12 has been converted into a nearly 1:1 replica of the most iconic car in movie history, the plutonium-powered time machine from Back to the Future. Everything is there, from the large central instrument cluster for setting the date, to the flux capacitor between the seats. All switches and displays are functional, including an onboard smoke machine and exterior lighting. The effects can be run off the car's internal 12-volt electrical system, or powered by a 120-volt outlet. The car includes parts to configure it as the time machine from the first or second Back to the Future films and will go to auction at Mecum's Indianapolis event in May 2023.
