1982 Lamborghini Countach LP500 S Prototype

Quiet Riot lead guitarist Carlos Cavazo bought a Lamborghini Countach in 1985. That Countach was the Geneva Motor Show display car that introduced the LP500 S to the world, most notable for the larger 4.8-liter V12 behind the front seats. The car was sold after Geneva to a private owner in Germany and later the US. Cavazo then owned the car for 35 years, swapping the Weber carbs out for fuel injection, and then placing it in storage in 2001. One Franco Barbuscia acquired the LP500 in a trade, disassembling the car for a restoration, but Barbuscia passed before it could begin. The car is fresh from storage, showing a wonderful barn-find patina, and retains its original engine, transmission, and paint. This LP500 is currently up for auction on Bring a Trailer.
