2002 Mercedes-Benz CLK GTR Roadster

When the F1 circus rolls into Las Vegas on November 19th, RM Sotheby's will be holding an auction worthy of the cars taking to the track. Topping the event will be a pair of Mercedes-Benz CLK GTRs, the road-going version of the race car that won the FIA GT1 championship in its first two years. Only 28 street-legal versions of the CLK GTR were made, with 20 coupes, six roadsters, and two prototypes built, with the car pictured here being the second built. Finished in proper silver over a black and grey interior, the car's V-12 makes 592 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque, slightly less than the 622 horsepower of the coupe — one of which will also be up for auction. The coupe comes in silver over a true racing blue-gray tartan interior, a barely more civilized version of the race car it's based on. The coupe is expected to fetch over $8 million, with the more exclusive roadster estimated at more than $10 million.
