Steve McQueen Baja Bucket Seats

Like so many of us, acting was just Steve McQueen's day job. Arguably, the actor's true passion was vehicles of all sorts, from motorcycles to airplanes to automobiles and racing anything with wheels. what would become the Baja Bucket seat was originally designed by McQueen in 1968 and first appeared in the iconic Mustang in the film Bullitt. McQueen received a patent for the design, and his own company, Solar Automotive Products, produced and sold them directly and through dealers. These three Baja Bucket seats were purchased new in 1970 in New Jersey and are all-original, including the vinyl covering. A copy of the original invoice is included in the sale.
