2018 Ducati Superleggera 2 Motorcycle

Ducati sent its inline-four power plant off in style with the Superleggera 2. The Italian motorcycle company's resurgence began in 2011 with the Panigale, Ducati's top sport bike offering. A year the S model was released, with a focus on track performance, and in 2013 came the R model, the highest-performing bike ever to come from Ducati. The R used an 1198cc Superquadro Desmodromic engine making 194 horsepower at 10,750 RPM. The Superleggera came that same year, aimed at reducing weight as much as possible. Limited to 500 units, the Superleggera became an instant classic among riders and collectors. Released in 2017, the 215 horsepower Superleggera 2 was the culmination of six years of development, back the final version of Ducati's inline-four before making the transition to its V4 mill. Limited to another 500-unit production run, this bike with just two total miles will be offered for sale by Bonhams.
