Tarform Vera Electric Motorcycle

Tarform, the Brooklyn-based electric motorcycle manufacturer, has debuted a second model — the Vera, an electric scrambler-style motorcycle. The Vera is an art deco take on the classic scrambler look and has been designed with off-road riding in mind. Newcomers to motorcycles will find the Vera extremely approachable, with a 31-inch seat height and a curb weight of just 360 pounds, similar to entry-level models from Honda and Kawasaki. A sweeping twin-spar aluminum frame carries a 7kWh battery powering an air-cooled electric motor making 74 horsepower and 120 lb-ft of torque. Range is an estimated 100 miles, with a full charge coming in at two hours with help from Brembo brakes and regenerative braking. The Vera is slated to launch in 2025, with preorders available now with a $100 deposit.
