2021 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 SUV

It's been nearly 40 years since Jeep offered a V8 in the Wrangler. For those wanting the most from Jeep's latest iteration of the classic 4x4, the wait is over — the Wrangler Rubicon 392 will hit showrooms in early 2021. The main attraction is of course the 470 horsepower naturally-aspirated V8 under the hood. Available only in Rubicon trim, the V8 is backed by an eight-speed automatic transmission that drives all four wheels all the time. Fox suspension, Dana 44 axles with electronic differentials, a two-speed transfer case, and 33-inch wheels on beadlock-capable tires mean that the Rubicon 392 is much more than just an engine swap. A three-level air intake system has drains and a water-air separator for fording water up to 32.5 inches deep. The big V8 also makes for fast acceleration numbers — Jeep claims a 4.5-second 0-60 time along with class-leading offroad capability. And like any other Jeep, there are enough accessories available to make it as unique as its owner.
