Typically Porsche makes news with faster, more powerful models. The 2021 Taycan is notable for being less so. Still the most powerful base model Porsche has ever made, it's rear-wheel-drive only, and available with one of two battery packs: the Performance Battery with 402 hp and 267 miles of range, and the Performance Battery Plus with 469 hp, 300 miles of range, and faster peak charging. Thanks to the added weight of the bigger battery, both models go from 0 to 60 mph in 5.1 seconds and have a top speed of 143 mph. Available options are similar to the other models, which are considerably more expensive than this new entry model.
