2023 BMW M2 Coupe
The best model in BMW's M performance lineup is here with the new M2. The M2 borrows the M3's twin-turbo inline-six making 453 horsepower — 20 less than the M3 — and stuffs it in a compact, lighter package. In another too-early report of the manual transmission's demise, a six-speed stick is available alongside an eight-speed automatic, with rear-wheel drive being the sole configuration. 0-60 comes in 3.9 seconds with the auto or 4.1 with the manual, but the real magic is in BMW's chassis tuning. A specially-tuned suspension promises to make the M2 as good a daily driver as it is at the track. Inside is the same layout as the base 2-series, with better bolstering in the seats and light-up M logos in the headrests. An option Carbon Fiber package saves 24 pounds thanks to carbon fiber buckets. A 12.3-inch screen serves as the dash in a panel with a 14.9-inch infotainment screen that puts all the data a driver could want at their fingertips. The M2 is scheduled to arrive in April 2023.
