Ferrari SP51 Roadster

Ferrari continues its line of one-off coachbuilt cars with the SP51. Based on the 812 GTS, the SP51 is Ferrari's first front-engine, V12 spider in over 50 years. The SP51 retains the 812's basic architecture while cladding it in more rounded bodywork that gives it a slightly retro feel. The blue-and-white stripe running the length of the car is a reference to the 1955 410 S racecar and is repeated in the interior. The most striking feature of the SP51 is a wing that runs between the two buttresses behind the drive and passenger seats, an element that recalls Ferrari prototype racers of the '60s. The paint is also exclusive to the car, with the Rosso Passional color specifically developed for the SP51 and applied in three layers.
