2024 BMW iX2 Electric SUV

The second generation of the X2 crossover arrives in Spring 2024 with its first all-electric model. The iX2 xDrive30 comes with BMW's dual-motor all-wheel-drive and 64.8kWh battery pack, making 313 horsepower with 272 miles of range between charges. 0-62 clocks in at 5.6 seconds, with top speed limited to 111 MPH. DC fast charging works at up to 130kW, charging from 20-80% in 29 minutes -- considerably faster than the 11kW standard onboard AC charger, which takes up to 6.5 hours to charge from 0-100%. Alongside the electric iX2 are two ICE models: the 241 horsepower 2.0-liter four X2 xDrive 28i and 312 horsepower X2 M35i xDrive. Interiors are similar between the three models, with BMW's standard curved display and angular gauge graphics, optional panoramic roof, and either Alcantara-trimmed seats or "animal-free Veganza" -- also known as vinyl -- depending on trim level. The X2 arrives in North America in March 2024.
