2024 Chevrolet Silverado HD ZR2

Chevrolet is expanding the ZR2 package to its Silverado HD trucks later in 2023, led by the ZR2 Bison. The HD ZR2 kit adds a 1.5-inch suspension lift and 35-inch Goodyear all-terrain tires — the first Chevy truck with 35s from the factory. Multimatic DSSV active dampers and HD ZR2-specific upper and lower control arms and steering knuckles are added, along with larger steel and aluminum skid plates for the transfer case and front end respectively. Two 6.6-liter V8 engine choices are on offer: a gasoline-powered version making 401 horsepower and 464 lb-ft of torque, while the Duramax turbodiesel V8 makes 470 horsepower and 975 lb-ft of torque. The top-line ZR2 Bison gets uprated with American Expeditionary Vehicles equipment like a high-approach stamped steel bumper with recovery points and winch carrier, and stamped steel skid plates protecting critical driveline components. The HD ZR2 arrives later in Q3 2023.
